Shed, Deck & Light Demolition in Clarksburg, WV

A rotting shed, a deck with soft boards, or a swing set nobody has used in years is an eyesore and sometimes a hazard. Tearing it down is half the work. The other half is getting rid of the lumber, nails, and roofing. We do both.

What the Work Involves

We empty the structure if needed, take it apart from the top down, pull or bend over exposed nails as we stack the lumber, and load it all onto the trailer. For a deck, we remove the boards, rails, and framing. Concrete footings and posts set in concrete are a separate question we'll talk through during the estimate. We rake the area for nails and screws before we leave.

What You Get

  • Tear-down and haul-away in one job
  • Nails and screws raked up before we leave
  • Sheds, decks, play sets, and fencing

Signs You Need This

  • Shed roof is caving in or the floor is rotting through
  • Deck boards are soft or the railing is loose
  • An old play set is rusting in the yard

What Counts as Light Demolition

We handle freestanding structures and outdoor features that can be taken apart with hand tools and power tools: sheds, decks, porches that aren’t holding up the roof, play sets, dog runs, and fences. We don’t take down load-bearing walls, houses, or anything with structural, electrical, or plumbing work that needs a contractor or a permit.

If you aren’t sure where your project falls, send photos and we’ll tell you.

Decks Attached to the House

When a deck is attached to the house, we take extra care where the ledger board meets the siding. We’ll remove the deck boards and framing and leave the house wall intact. Any repairs to the siding or flashing afterward are a separate job for a carpenter.
How the job works

Our Shed, Deck & Light Demolition Process in Clarksburg, WV

  1. Describe the problem. Tell us what you are seeing, when it started, and anything affecting access or timing.
  2. Review the property. We confirm the conditions and the scope instead of pricing an unseen job from assumptions.
  3. Approve a written estimate. The proposed work, price, exclusions, and next step should be clear before scheduling.
  4. Complete and review the work. We communicate about changes, handle the agreed cleanup, and review the finished scope.
Before hiring

Questions to Ask About Shed, Deck & Light Demolition

Before hiring anyone for shed, deck & light demolition in Clarksburg, WV, ask what's included, what prep is needed, who handles cleanup or disposal, what could change the price, and how a surprise condition gets approved. Compare the full written scope against other junk removal quotes, not just the bottom-line number.

Access, surrounding structures, local conditions, and the result you want should all get discussed before work starts on your property.

Pricing guidance

How Shed, Deck & Light Demolition Is Priced in Clarksburg, WV

Light demolition is priced by the size of the structure, what it’s made of, and how it’s anchored. A small wood shed on blocks comes down faster than a large deck bolted to the house with posts set in concrete. Shingles, metal roofing, and pressure-treated lumber are heavy, so they affect disposal.

Your written junk removal estimate controls. The final number for a Clarksburg, WV property depends on the actual scope, access, materials, and conditions on site.
